Madrid City Council and COCEM relied on Pelonio to develop their new corporate image and identity, as well as the premier event for the remodelled district of Serrano.
After years of work done to transform the district, and give its historic streets a face lift, there is no doubt that Barrio de Salamanca is now the top shopping destination in Madrid. The City Council of Madrid, in collaboration with COCEM, relied on Pelonio to set out strategic and innovative ideas to enhance footfall in Barrio de Salamanca. The district is a gold mile of top luxury brands, unique craft shops, restaurants and all the commercial brands you could possibly think of. One of Pelonio´s aims were to expose the district both nationally and internationally whilst placing it on the level of other iconic shopping destinations such as those in New York, London and Paris.
Pelonio considered important to create a corporate identity, including a new logo, for Barrio de Salamanca and to honour the district with a grand opening, to show the world why so many years of uncomfortable road works and disruptions were worthwhile. On September 25th 2010 Calle Serrano became an all-day shopping experience. The street was closed to traffic and pedestrians were left to wonder around freely, enjoying great discounts, offers and deals available from all of the retailers. The atmosphere was boosted with live Dj´s, interactive activities for the public to participate in and famous faces scattered around the neighbourhood.
